WINE CHARACTERISTICS
TASTING NOTES
Intense red almost black color with violet hues. The nose develops aromas of plum and blackberry jam with spicy notes. In the mouth it is full and tannins are not lacking while remaining discreet and round. Excellent persistence and balance.
PAIRINGS
Heavily seasoned entrees, charcuterie and pâté de foie gras, baked suckling pig.
Serving temperature 14-16°C.
TERRITORY
Belice Valley, dark alluvial and deep, medium-textured soils, silt-clay composition, with good organic matter content from which elegant and well-structured, balanced and persistent wines are derived.
A versatile grape variety of French origin, grown all over the world, it has also adapted very well to Sicilian climatic conditions, bringing more spicy and rounded characteristics to the fruit.
